Despite playing to a scoreless draw in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 semifinals against Barau FC, Wikki Tourists technical adviser Abdullahi Maikaba has placed the blame on questionable refereeing.
On Tuesday, the game took place at Asaba's Stephen Keshi Stadium, and Maikaba thought the officials had a hand in the result.
The officials are making me unhappy. "I am not happy at all because they (the referees) have taken sides," Maikaba stated following the game.
With two wins from two games, Wikki Tourists have a two-point lead in the competition.
On Thursday, the Bauchi Elephants will play their last group stage encounter against the Yobe Desert Stars.
A victory for Wikki Tourists will guarantee their spot in the NPFL for the upcoming season.
