Chelsea warned by Thiago Silva at Club World Cup

In anticipation of Tuesday night's Club World Cup semi-final match between Fluminense and Chelsea, veteran defender Thiago Silva has issued a warning to the Blues.

An ex-Blue, Silva, has cautioned the current squad that Fluminense would be well-prepared for the match.

In an effort to defeat the Premier League club based in west London, the Brazilian has also announced that he will be assisting Fluminense with their preparations.

In an interview with Ge Globo, as reported by the Chelsea Chronicle, Silva expressed his feelings of anticipation, nervousness, and worry about facing them in the World Cup semi-final.

He also mentioned his desire to assist the coaching staff with "interesting little details" that will remain confidential.

While I was there lately, I went to training despite the fact that I only had a short amount of time in London to visit my children. We are ready for this match, but we also can't reveal too much. That, in my opinion, is paramount, you know?"

I believe that Fluminense today has a unique following and vibe, regardless of who you ask. Hopefully, that will also be possible tomorrow.

"I am not very familiar with [Enzo] Maresca, but I am familiar with many of the players there; in fact, I speak with some of them on a weekly basis, and we are quite close."

After joining Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain, Silva stayed for four years before leaving in 2024.
