A new evacuation order for Palestinians in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza has been issued by the Israeli military, indicating an escalation of the current military operations in the region.
The message was published on X (previously Twitter) by Col. Avichay Adraee, the Arabic-language spokesperson of the Israel Defence Forces.
"The IDF is expanding actions in your area due to terror activities in the area," Adraee added, referring to the Israeli military's manoeuvring troops and intense firepower.
As the Israeli military's presence and pressure in the area intensify, locals have been told to evacuate westward.
Following earlier rounds of operations in Gaza's southern corridor, the directive signifies a further escalation of the IDF's efforts to clear regions of Hamas fighters.
