Actor Ibrahim Chatta of Nollywood fame has said that he couldn't pay the medical expenses associated with his firstborn's death at a Lagos hospital.
While the infant was admitted to a hospital in the Iddo district of Lagos State, Chatta indicated in a video communication with crew members that all attempts to acquire money were unsuccessful.
Looking back on the tragedy, the actor revealed that a wooden Coca-Cola crate was used to bury his late child.
A YouTube user named Abiola Orisile Events & Parties uploaded the video.
"Malik is not my firstborn," he declared. A little girl is my firstborn. I was unable to afford the medical fees, and with that, I lost her.
They rushed her to a hospital in Lagos State's Iddo neighbourhood.
I walked all the way from Ijora Badia to Makoko, but I was unable to obtain any funds till she passed away.
In the weathered wooden crate of Coke lay my firstborn.
