DJ Flow discusses her breakup with Ruthie during the BBNaija S9 reunion

Baby BBNaija During her time as a resident on No Loose Guard, DJ Flow discussed the demise of her friendship with Ruthie, which had lasted ten years, and revealed that she is unable to mediate disputes on her behalf.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked DJ Flow about the breakup with Ruthie and why it happened at the BBNaija No Loose Guard reunion episode, which started broadcasting on June 23, 2025.

Before appearing on the show, DJ Flow and her ex-friend Ruthie discussed her views on drama, and Ruthie knew that DJ Flow would not respond to it, even if it involved her.

The interview Ruthie granted her, in which she made depressing remarks about her, was the last straw, she said.

In an open discussion with the show's host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, DJ Flow revealed that the interview had a significant impact on her decision to break their friendship.

She discussed how, despite their ten-year history, she had finally accepted that their friendship had outlived its usefulness.

Despite their best intentions, their friendship began to fall apart during the BBNaija journey.

Even though DJ Flow still loves and supports Ruthie, she has decided to move on from the relationship because of their irreconcilable differences, she admitted.

"I can stand by your side and offer my support, but I'm not interested in getting into an argument with you," she stated.

She has asked me in the past, "Will you respond if they are dragging one person on social media?" 'You know me,' I was thinking.

No matter how much they try to drag me, I will not respond—and that's just about me. "Why should I respond? This isn't my fight."

While I do my best to avoid dwelling on the past, I can't help but feel that while I am grateful for the 10 years we spent together, I also know that in the grand scheme of things, we only ever go through life with the people we're with, not live it to the fullest.

The interview she had, though, was the deciding factor for me. I sought an explanation when I learnt that she spoke about me in an interview.

She needed me to see things from her perspective, and that interview did just that. It made me realise that I might love this person, but we've reached a point where we should just go our separate ways.

This person drains my energy, and that's totally fine.
