Chiamaka Nnadozie, goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, has received accolades from Les Bleus of France head coach Laurent Bonadie.
In a friendly match on Saturday night in Angers, France prevailed against the West Africans by a score of 2-1.
Two goals were scored by Les Bleues in the first half, with Ifeoma Onumonu scoring a late goal to cut the lead.
Nnadozie showed tremendous bravery in goal, preventing additional goals for the hosts.
After the game, Bonadie gave special recognition to the goalkeeper.
"Nigeria has a strong defense. "We were not efficient and we were under pressure right up until the end," the coach said during a news conference following the game.
"Nnadozie Chiamaka produced a number of excellent saves. The game has made me very pleased.
