Wizkid: "Women inspire my music"

Singer Ayodeji Balogun (aka Wizkid), a Grammy winner from Nigeria, has spoken about the people who have influenced his music.

Women, the afrobeats artist revealed, are his musical inspirations.

Music is inspired by women! His previous post on X, "Gods on earth," has now been removed.

Wizkid has made a name for himself with his swoon-worthy love ballads. Morayo Jane Balogun, his mother, passed away, and his most recent album is named after her.

After just six days on Spotify, the album had 48 million streams, shattering Tyla's record for most African album streams in the first week.

Its 46.4 million Spotify streams are more than Tyla's previous record.

'Morayo' also broke Spotify's record for most African album debut week with 52.8 million listens.
