Waiting for Super Eagles opportunity, Arokodare is prepared

A forward for KRC Genk, Tolu Arokodare has stated his desire to one day represent Nigeria on the international stage.

This season, Arokodare has been the Smurfs' shining hero, scoring goals that have propelled the team to the top of the Belgian Pro League.

In 10 league games for Genk, the 23-year-old has found the back of the net six times.

He has not yet achieved international renown, despite his prolific form.

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Augustine Eguavoen, decided not to start Arokodare in their forthcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.

But the striker was certain that his moment would arrive.

"Our attack is absolutely loaded with talent, and the entire team is full of talent," he said Tribal Football.

"The National Football Federation (NFF) has not yet contacted me, but I am confident that they will do so in due course.

I believe that if I continue to do my best and meet all of their expectations, they will eventually call me up.

In the meantime, I will take pride in the fact that the players who have been called up before me have worked hard for this opportunity and have earned every invitation to play for the Super Eagles.

Patience and effort are all that's required of me.
