While celebrating its 64th anniversary of independence, Nigeria's Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, reiterated the government's resolve to revolutionize the country's educational system.
Much progress has been achieved in resolving the critical problems confronting the nation's educational system, he said.
Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's leadership, our government is committed to enhancing the accessibility and quality of education. Within the DOTS initiative, we are working on inclusive education guidelines, research facility upgrades, and innovation program sponsorships.
The Ministry is determined to address the sector's difficulties, he said, and that includes working with security authorities to combat credential fabrication.
“Our goal is to ensure that schools receive the new ideas, training, and support needed to increase their standards, making education more affordable and accessible to all Nigerians," Professor Mamman added.
Professor Mamman promised Nigerians that education would always be the country's first priority in the pursuit of national development.
"Education is our weapon, and we will use it to help every Nigerian realize his or her greatest potential."
Consequently, the Minister called on all residents to work together and ensure the education sector of the country has a bright future.
