Following a fashion designer's social media scolding of Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham, Abraham has responded.
For the last twelve months, a designer going by the handle @stitchesbyandra has been suing Toyin Abraham, Annie Idibia, and Gabriel Anthony, claiming that they owe her millions.
The fashion designer shared the news via Instagram stories, writing: "@toyin_abraham @annieidibial @gabrielanthonys, my patient is running out already”.
2 months and one year ago. How come you're so hesitant when you're among someone's millions?
Toyin responded to the accusation in an Instagram post he made late Friday night, denying it.
"Good day, everybody, Regarding the current claims of owing money to a fashion designer, I would want to respond.
There has been a total misunderstanding of the matter. Our wardrobe needs outfits for the runway scene in Malaika. We reached out to several designers, one of them was Tiannah, to procure the garments.
One more thing: Gabriel, one of the team members, said that a friend of his wanted to donate several outfits, and his buddy actually did. I even paid in full for a hairpiece that she sold me.
We borrowed the outfits from her for the shoot, and after we were done with them, I returned them to Gabriel, who had brought them to us.
I contacted Gabriel right away to get some explanation after seeing the accusations made online. The fact that Gabriel told the designer that someone else had borrowed the gowns after he had returned them to him is confirmed.
Since then, I have abdicated all responsibility for it. I trust this makes everything obvious.
