In response to Pastor Enoch Adeboye's tithe apology, maverick artist Charles Oputa—also known as Charly Boy—has spoken out.
If you remember, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is in charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, had previously expressed regret for claiming that people who do not pay tithing will not enter paradise.
"I wish I hadn't said, 'If you don't pay tithe, you won't make it to heaven.'
" I'm afraid that is incorrect and not found in the Bible. The Bible teaches that in order to see God, one must "follow peace with all men and holiness."
In response, Charly Boy stated that unless Adeboye returns the tithes he collected, his apologies is nothing.
I don't care what you think, but I think a lot of the most deceitful people hang out in churches. Your sincere apologies won't amount to much until you're willing to refund the tithing money that was given to you by those who wanted to buy your way to paradise.
"Stop handing out absurd Lamborghinis to your congregation. Everyone from the most judgmental to the most wicked attends church on Sundays, and you might be surprised to learn that some of the nicest individuals you meet have tattoos all over their bodies.
Your approach is filthy compared to those who "drink tea with God," and I've known it since your pronouncement decades ago that people should throw away their TVs.\Pastors who are too busy pointing fingers and finding fault are the worst.
Their sincerity is as insincere as the glitter of a failed musician. Excuse me? in situations when you possess complete expertise. Absolute nonsense, Dad.
