Ederson is the finest goalkeeper in the Premier League right now, according to legendary Manchester United goalie Peter Schmeichel.
But he did concede that David Raya of Arsenal isn't far behind.
While playing for United, Aston Villa, and Manchester City, Schmeichel won five Premier League championships.
Among the present crop of English Premier League goalkeepers, Schmeichel ranks Ederson first, ahead of Alisson Becker of Liverpool, who the Dane says has fallen even farther behind Raya due to Arsenal's recent play.
According to Schmeichel, "Ederson is fantastic in terms of making big saves and 1v1 situations" when speaking on the Stick to Football podcast with Sky Bet.
"Alisson has some foot issues. You wouldn't see Ederson make some of the same mistakes he would. They aren't related in any way.
Of all the Premier League goalkeepers, Eduardo is the best. David Raya is also getting close. I am truly impressed by him.
