On Nigerian Independence Day, Funke Akindele and Mr. Eazi motivate supporters at the age of 64

Celebrities like Funke Akindele and Mr. Eazi, two well-known figures in Nigerian cinema, have gone to social media to mark the country's 64th birthday.

In spite of the country's economic woes, the celebrities celebrated Nigeria's independence on Tuesday, October 1st, with messages of encouragement.

"I hope this nation will be great, yes!" Funke Akindele stated in an Instagram post. It will be fantastic, we assure you.

For the simple reason that this is my job—the reason I am known as "gbogbo bigs girl"—and the source of the income that allows me to buy all the expensive clothes and bags I want, as well as the means by which I am able to empower many others.

Personally, I'd rather stay in Nigeria and let things develop there than go to Japan.

"To my dear Nigeria, I hope you have a joyous Independence Day! We have endured trials, but our resilience has never wavered.

We are resilient, creative, and hopeful, and I celebrate all three.

I dream of a Nigeria where people's potential is fully realized, and possibilities are abundant.

Here's to hoping for better days ahead! 65 years of Nigerian independence.

Likewise, under his X moniker, Mr. Eazi

Strength, resilience, and energy are qualities that every citizen should be proud of. Wishing for a brighter tomorrow! "Nigeria is our nation."
