In response to Falana's ultimatum, Bobrisky allegedly reached a pardon bargain worth N10 million: "I didn't defame you"

After human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, musician Falz, issued a 12-hour ultimatum, controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye—also known as Bobrisky—reacted.

According to GROWING2GETHER7, Femi Falana and Falz issued a cease-and-desist letter to Bobrisky on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, demanding that he remove the defamatory statement he made against them in an audio clip that was leaked by well-known social media critic, VeryDarkMan. Falz and Falana told Bobrisky 12 hours to repudiate his statement.

Following the ultimatum, Bobrisky took to Instagram story on Wednesday night to deny libelous accusations made against Falana and Falz, as well as to reject their demands for a public apology and retraction.

To set the record straight and put an end to any confusion, I, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, better known as Bobrisky, did not publish any statements that were defamatory against the learned SAN Falana or his son Falz.

This is in response to the two letters that have been circulated from the Falanas' legal firm.

I deny knowing anything about what VeryDarkMan wrote, and that fact is in the public domain according to a letter from my solicitor dated September 27, 2024.

Defamation victims should take legal action against the content's publisher, as I have already said categorically denied any wrongdoing.

It is essential that my right to privacy in communications be honored and safeguarded. that is incorrect.

Not long ago, the Lagos State High Court issued a 21-day deadline for VeryDarkMan to remove libellous comments and videos that attacked Falana and Falz.

Since September 2024, when VDM released the audio recordings of Bobrisky's prison chats, the topic has caused a great deal of debate.

According to GROWING2GETHER7, on September 24, 2024, a tape of Bobrisky's phone call explaining how Falz approached him while he was in prison to assist him in obtaining a presidential pardon via his father was leaked by VeryDarkMan.

Among the accusations is that Bobrisky paid bribes totaling fifteen million Nigerian naira to EFCC officers in order to dismiss charges of money laundering against him.

Additional charges include the receipt of bribes by the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) in order to have Bobrisky transferred to VIP confinement rather than a regular prison cell.

In April, the EFCC apprehended Bobrisky on charges of Naira mutilation and money laundering.

After the Federal High Court in Lagos dropped Bobrisky's money laundering accusations, Judge Abimbola Awogboro gave him a six-month prison term for Naira mutilation.
