Bankole Olowookere, head coach of the Flamingos, has stated that the team's primary goal is to win the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
At the most recent competition in India, the girls from Nigeria came in third place.
On the other hand, Olowookere staked a claim to wanting the grand prize this time.
Our motto is that we will not return home without achieving our goals. No matter the cost, we have to return home with something.
Video of Olowookere speaking was uploaded to the Super Falcons X account. "Just believe in us; we are going to make you happy, and we are going to bring something back home," the message read.
Plans are in the works, and we're going all out to win the gold for Nigeria. My faith in the Lord has me giddy with excitement today.
"We are going to bring home the trophy by God's grace because we have worked hard and believe in God."
Estadio Cibao Santiago de los Caballeros will play host to Wednesday's season opener for the Flamingos, a match versus New Zealand.
Three days later, at the same location, the West Africans will play Ecuador in their second group match.
On Tuesday, October 22, they will play the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo at the Estadio Félix Sánchez, in their last group match.
