Paul Gascoigne, a former England international, has called for Sir Alex Ferguson, a former manager of Manchester United, to spend "one more season" with the club.
Still, Gascoigne was honest about feeling sad for Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United right now.
The Red Devils' dismal start to the season has put a tremendous amount of pressure on Ten Hag to avoid losing his job.
Gascoigne told SportsCasting, "It's like me as a player, I knew I was good," when asked if he thinks Ten Hag will still be manager this Christmas.
Who I was competing against or replacing, for example, is irrelevant.
Even Jose Mourinho and David Moyes were not successful in their attempts to follow Alex Ferguson.
I feel some pity for Ten Hag when I look at him.
Because I believe some of those players hurt Ten Hag, I would love it if Alex Ferguson could take over for a season to see what he can accomplish with them.
