Binta Ayo Mogaji, a veteran of the Nigerian film industry, has urged women over the age of 35 to have children outside of marriage.
This was said by the 60-year-old actress while she was interviewed on Oyinmomo TV.
In an interview about marriage, motherhood, and cultural expectations, the actress—who became a mother for the first time at age 40—spoke about the importance of having children outside of marriage for women over the age of 35 who want to have a family.
Magaji went on to say that women should put parenthood ahead of society norms and expectations.
My point is that if you're at least 35 years old and single, and you know someone who isn't quite ready to settle down but would love a family, you should have a child with him regardless of his willingness to be a parent.
They will tell her she is too old to be a good wife and mother-in-law when she is 35 years old and starts dating again. The man should seek for a younger woman who will be willing to listen to him.
Furthermore, she will be rather elderly before her child reaches puberty, even if she is lucky enough to be married.
When will you finally settle down with a husband and start a family, considering that some women become grandma at ages 45 or 50 while you're still single?
Therefore, my recommendation is that you should not hesitate to have a family if you are able to do so and if you are blessed with a compatible partner.
However, you should think about adoption if you are unable to conceive naturally.
